A year in review: Reflecting on 2021 as it draws to a close

2021 may have been just as much of a rollercoaster as 2020, but there has still been so much that we here at CBS to be proud of:

We have remained open and continued working safely & securely
We have also developed new products and streamlined ways of working!
We are stronger and more focused on the goals for 2022

The end of the year is fast approaching, so we thought this would be the perfect time to reflect on 2021 as it draws to a close. Here are just a handful of things we have been proud of this year:

1. Recruitment

It is always an achievement to keep growing our CBS team, and this year we have had many new recruits who have slotted into the team perfectly! Here are some comments about our successful recruits this year from one of our Team Managers:

“We lost two key team members during the year and built a new team, who processed the highest volume of applications to date. We are now all dual skilled to enable us to be self-sufficient in all areas. In all, everyone on the Key Account Management Team has risen to the challenge, we are a strong committed Team ready for 2022”.

“One of our new starters from the Kickstart programme this year was Jack! A part of the Data Sourcing team, he has managed to pick up all aspects of the role and is now a key and vital person to the smooth running of the team. Well done Jack!”

“Within CBS we have a variety of departments, each focusing on core elements of the business, and each one as integral as the next.  All departments have experienced huge challenges both in the demand of our services as well as the unprecedented curveballs thrown at us during the pandemic.  Its been a pleasure to watch the teams adapt, learn and conquer all of the challenges they have faced.

2. Expanding our services

Despite the up and downs of the year, we have continued to expand our services!  One of the services we launched this year was our revolutionary eBulk Uni Pro screening tool. We developed and designed this tool so that it was specifically tailored for Universities & Colleges with a need to background check and screen students each academic year.

One UK university that has found the tool to be effective is the University of Essex. They have achieved great success in streamlining all their campus background checking needs and improving their workflow since using the tool.

Following the expansion of our services and the continuing hard work of our staff, we have also taken on many new clients which we are thrilled about! The CBS team continues to go above and beyond and we are so proud of all we’re achieving together.

3. Continued Events

We believe that it is always important to reward hard work, so despite some of the challenges this year has thrown at us, we were still able to celebrate our hard work with our annual summer party and celebrate with staff, clients, suppliers, friends and family!

Throwing events such as our summer do are super important to us as it allows us to show to our staff that we appreciate all their hard work, and that they are an amazing bunch! The CBS family is close-knit and we have a unique working relationship; we have a lot of fun but also deliver outstanding work as we flourish as individuals together.

4. Growing Family

Family is an important value we hold here at CBS, so this year when one of our members of staff had a baby, and another become a grandmother, we were over the moon! We consider ourselves here as one big family, so when members of staff celebrate milestones outside of work, we celebrate with them! 😊 Congratulation’s ladies!

5. 2022

CBS will soon share with its client’s news of smart new products, even quicker processing opportunities, new digital platforms to support DBS checks, not to mention an opportunity to save costs and enhance safeguarding… Exciting times are head…
