The 2023 CBS Summer Bash
Yet again the 2023 CBS Summer Bash exceeded all expectations! We danced to Lloyd Cottrell Saxophonist and Gareth Peebles…we laughed, we enjoyed fiery entertainment from the outstanding Organised Kaos, along with exquisite food from Lets Go Street Food and plenty of drinks (thank you Plush Pony Mobile Bar)!
There was popcorn. There was candyfloss. There were a LOT of people; clients, colleagues, suppliers and friends of CBS.
And despite the torrential rain (Storm Betty has a lot to answer for!) we had a BLAST.
Each year, the summer party is wonderful time for us at CBS to take stock and to reflect on the successes of the previous year, and this August was no different. In spite of a quick rethink, moving our usual outdoor do to the safety of indoors at CBS HQ, we loved the opportunity to thank everybody who’s been a part of our journey and celebrate everything we’ve achieved.
If you were there, thanks so much for joining us! And if you missed out this year, get in touch because we’d love you to join us for an even bigger and better party in Summer 2024!
In the meantime, may these pictures give you a taster of our time together…But you really did have to be there!
Here at CBS, we are always here to help organisations with their background screening needs. If you would like to know more about our services, contact us today on 01443 799900 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org

Why Santa is Only Eligible for a Basic DBS Check
Only 39 sleeps until the big day! Christmas Day is fast approaching, and as Santa is busy working in the North Pole getting ready, we’re getting lots of requests regarding enhanced DBS checks for Old Saint Nick! However, did you know he is only eligible for a basic DBS check?
Why are BPSS checks needed?
BPSS checks (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) are essential for reducing the risk of illegal workers, identity fraud, and to protect national security.
The Financial Sector and Background Screening
As most of you will be aware, the financial sector is governed by the regulatory body ‘The Financial Conduct Authority’ (FCA) in the UK. The main focus on the FCA is to maintain the integrity of financial markets and it also protects consumers from potential harm, crime and misconduct.
