CBS named Fast Growth sixth fastest growing business

The Wales Fast Growth 50 project has named CBS as its sixth fastest growing business and top for Business to Business services.

Wales Fast Growth 50 is a project that has been set up to recognise the fastest growing businesses in Wales every year. Now in its 15th year of operation, the project has recognised over 500 businesses for their impact on Welsh economy.

The 50 shortlisted businesses enjoyed a whopping cumulative turnover of £492m in 2012 and employed more than 5,000 people. This turnover is 123% up on 2010-12’s accounts of £272m – and documents what Fast Growth aims to recognise.

Where did CBS come in on the Fast Growth 50?

We’re delighted to announce that Complete Background Screening was one of the firms to be recognised by Fast Growth in 2013! Out of the thousands of businesses considered and the 50 shortlisted firms, we finished in the top 10 – in a very respectable sixth place. We climbed 29 places from last year’s finish of 35th, while there was less than a 100% difference in growth separating the runners up between the third and sixth position.

In addition to this great position, we were awarded the top prize for the ‘Fastest Growing Firm in Business-to-Business Services’ an accolade that we are delighted and proud to receive. This prestigious title, sponsored by Logicallis, really goes to show that we are the best in the industry for providing background screening services.

How did we get here?

The key factor in this win was our spectacular growth of 323% since opening our doors to business back in 2005. In just under ten years we’ve earned this brilliant recognition thanks to a lot of hard work and by delivering the best quality service. Our multi-award winning services can be tailored for business irrespective of their size, with bespoke packages for small local companies and international blue-chip organisations alike.

Plans for the future

Over the next few years we are aiming to continue to grow the business, taking on bigger clients at a higher frequency. We are also leading the industry with our DBS Updating service, which is likely to see a huge increase in the number of companies and individuals using our services. Our plans to extend the amount of services we are offering will hopefully see a large increase in turnover within the next couple of years. We aim to continue delivering an unparalleled service, constantly updating and modifying our practices in order to keep up with changing laws and codes of practice.
