Get To Know The CBS Team!

We want you to get to know the CBS team, this month we spoke to Claire our Referencing Manager.

Claire is a fan of Wonder Woman!

1.As a (Referencing Manager) what does your job involve?

My main responsibility is to oversee the referencing team ensuring the department runs smoothly along with increasing productivity and motivation. I work in collaboration with the team to continuously come up with new ideas and new processes to ensure we use our working day effectively.

I am also responsible for compliance checking every application to ensure it is completed to the highest standard.

2. What task do you spend a majority of your day doing?

I deal a lot with applicants, requesting outstanding documentation. Compliance checking the applications needs a meticulous eye, I take time to ensure each one is looked into thoroughly.

3.What part of your job do you enjoy most?

I enjoy liaising with clients and applicants. I  always feel proud of the referencing team as they always strive to do their best with every application and improve their processes.

4.What is your least  favourite part of your job?

Probably when we require further assistance from applicants to continue with their screening and they are non-responsive.  We want our applicant’s screening process to be as easy for them as possible, sometimes, it does feel as though they think they are doing us a favour and can be a little uncooperative.

5.What would make your job easier?

More hours in the day 🙂

6.What is your favorite film and why?

My all-time favorite film’s that I could watch over and over again is The Lost Boys and Maleficent.

7.What do you like to do in your spare time?

As a mother of three children aged 2, 11 and 19 years old, working full time and helping to look after my mother who has Alzheimer’s, I have very little spare time. When I do have spare time I love spending time with my husband, relaxing at home listening to music and having a boogie on a rare occasion if I can fit it in ?

8.What do you like about working for CBS?

CBS is not just a company, it is a close-knit environment where everyone helps each other.  We have the personal touch with our clients and applicants, we all work so well as a team, communication is key. We get to know our client’s needs and together we are able to provide the best service, processing their applications with attention to detail quicker than larger organisations where the small details often get lost.
