Changes to be made to Basic Disclosures from 1st January 2018

As you will be aware, from January 2018 both the DBS and Disclosure Scotland will be processing basic level disclosures.

This will mean if you require a basic disclosure for a job role based in England or Wales you should apply to Disclosure and Barring Service. If you require a basic disclosure for a job role based in Scotland you should apply to Disclosure Scotland.

If you applying for a basic disclosure for personal reasons you should apply to Disclosure and Barring Service if you live in England or Wales. If you live in Scotland you should apply to Disclosure Scotland. If you live in England or Wales and are applying for a basic disclosure you are able to use the web service solution.

This new system will enable applicants to access their completed basic disclosure certificates online and have the ability to raise queries and track the progress of their check. Completion times will also be significantly quicker.

Our systems have been tested and approved and are already live for several customers.  All system users will automatically be granted both options from January 2018.

For more information about our new service and the benefits it can provide please contact 01443 799900.
